Do you know the benefits of mandala?

26 Oct

Shall we try mandala? These super easy coloring activities from the Indian culture are great for the body and mind!  Here’s the evidence through 5 points 🙂

Reduce stress

When you set out to color a mandala, first create a peaceful atmosphere around you. The peace and quiet takes over the surrounding tension and agitation. And the stress levels start to lower, little by little. Some people even take "mandala breaks" to relieve the pressure at work and at home when needed!!

Return to childhood

Sharpening our colored pencils, settling down and coloring, inevitably takes us back to our childhood: a secret garden, or fun times shared with our friends, at home or at school. With mandala, fond memories and pleasant feelings reappear, and it is a real pleasure to experience them again.

Live fully in the present moment

No more feeling scattered, long live concentration. By focusing on the choice of colors, on the area to be colored in without going over, our whole attention is geared towards mandala. This helps us to be anchored in the present moment. And to become aware of the benefits of this re-alignment to be in tune with ourselves.

Develop your creativity

It's all about practice! And this saying also applies to creativity. So, don't doubt yourself, because we all have that creative potential within us. It is just a matter of believing in it and unleashing it. Your first mandalas may not be your favorites, but don't be too hard on yourself and let your intuition guide you!

Help with meditation

With your brain 100% connected to the mandala, you can free up some space and thoughts can flow freely. The idea is not to chase them away, but rather to welcome them. In this moment of peace, solutions appear, so tune in to them. This is a first step towards meditation!
