How to take care of your sleep?

16 Jun

Taking care of your nights means taking care of the quality of your days. But a good night's sleep cannot be improvised, it has to be prepared... For a peaceful and restful sleep, try out our step-by-step guide!

With these five recommendations, dive into a deep and beneficial sleep!

Create a soothing cocoon:
The space where you sleep should be quiet, dark and soothing. The temperature should be cool, around 18 degrees. To create a relaxing environment, make sure to keep your screens outside the room. And most importantly, choose your bedding carefully!

Listen to your body:
When it needs rest, your body sends you signals: muscle relaxation, tingling eyes, yawning..., all indicate that it's time to go to bed. Even if there are sometimes many temptations to resist, pay attention to them!

Aim for regularity: In order to find your way around, your body needs a routine: try to go to bed at the same time as often as possible and especially to wake up at the same time, even during vacations. With a regular routine, your sleep will be all the more restful.

Create a relaxing environment:
In the evening, avoid stimulating sports activities because they slow down sleep. Avoid using your smartphone for entertainment, leave it aside... The brain assimilates its blue light to daylight and thus delays sleep. To reduce this impact, there are applications to filter the blue light emitted by the screen.

Stay light:
Eat a light meal for dinner. You don't want to go to bed hungry, but it's better to avoid eating a heavy meal before going to bed. Our advice: avoid stimulants and finish your meal at least two hours before going to bed.

Quickly adopt these good habits that will allow you to have a good night's sleep and be in better physical and mental shape!
