Banana bread, version 2.0!

06 Nov

We tell you how to turn this classic recipe into a nutritious, irresistible treat.

#1 Ripe bananas: your new best friends

Rule number one: choose very ripe bananas that are naturally sweet, so you don’t have to splurge on added sugar.

#2 Superfoods for their benefits

Next, toss superfoods like it’s the end of the world. Chia seeds, cocoa nibs, almond butter... They’ll turn your bread into a powerhouse of benefits.

#3 Allergies? Don’t panic!

Gluten, lactose, none of that’s a problem. You want gluten-free? Use almond flour. Dairy-free? Use coconut oil and get rid of those allergenic barriers.

#4 Protein galore

For breakfast warriors, boost the protein. A shot of collagen peptides and you’ll feel the power surging through your biceps. Want to stay vegan? Hemp seeds, and you’ve got your fix.

#5 Sweeteners... you’re the boss!

Finally, when it comes to sweeteners, you get to make your own mix. Half coconut sugar, half maple syrup, and your bread will have a festive, yet guilt-free feel.
